Like so many other churches that have expanded their mission, Nativity Episcopal Church in Burnsville, Minnesota is studying how it can use its property to better establish multifamily housing that addresses community needs, benefits from church programming, and results in improved financial sustainability for the church. Cardo created a series of site plans, utilizing a range of housing types for families and seniors, that center around outdoor amenities and spaces. While in a suburban context, the plans create a human-scaled experience designed to foster community. The church is actively pursuing development partners to help implement their vision.
