A 41-acre site, located on the edge of Rome, Wisconsin, and a just minutes from the nationally-recognized Sand Valley Golf Course, includes towering jack pines, rolling sand dunes, and pristine forest. In 2025, Cardo was tasked with creating a series of connected villages that harness the site’s natural beauty and provide human-scaled gathering spaces.

The site plan includes duplexes and triplexes organized to form narrow lanes, intended for pedestrians not cars. Each one of the four unique villages is centered on amenities ranging from fire pits and bocce ball courts to wiffle ball fields and food trucks. This village encourages guests to park their car once, and explore the site on foot for the rest of their stay. The project is slated to break ground this summer, with all of the construction complete by 2028.
