Jack Pines Guest House is situated on a 41-acre site, located on the edge of Rome, Wisconsin, and is just minutes from the nationally-recognized Sand Valley Golf Course. The property includes towering jack pines, rolling sand dunes, and pristine forest. In 2025, Cardo was tasked with designing a series of villages that harness the site’s stunning natural beauty, while also providing human-scaled gathering spaces.

The Master Plan includes duplexes and triplexes organized along narrow lanes, intended for pedestrians not cars. Each one of the four unique villages is centered around amenities ranging from fire pits and bocce ball courts to wiffle ball fields and food trucks. This community encourages guests to park their car once and explore the site on foot for the rest of their stay. The project is slated to break ground this fall, with the first homes complete by 2028.
